Bang-Saksak is a fast-paced game similar to tagu-taguan. Players hide while the taya searches for them, but instead of calling out names, the taya shouts “Bang!” to tag someone. The twist? A player can escape by quickly tapping the taya and shouting “Sak!” before getting caught.
Mechanics
The main goal of Bang-sak is for the taya to find and capture the hidden players by saying “Bang” along with their correct name. Meanwhile, players can save themselves or others by touching the taya and saying “Sak” without getting caught.
To start, the taya covers their eyes and counts while the other players hide within the set area. The time for hiding is agreed upon before the game begins. When searching, the taya must say “Bang” and correctly call out the player’s name to capture them. If the taya gets the name wrong, that player is safe. Players can free their teammates by touching the taya and saying “Sak.” If anyone successfully does this, all players are saved, and the current taya stays the seeker. However, the first player who gets caught and is not saved becomes the next taya once the taya successfully finds everyone.
