Buwan-Buwan is a game inspired by the lunar eclipse. Players form a circle and stay inside while the taya tries to tag them. The twist? The taya can’t cross the circle to tag anyone inside — they have to tag from outside the circle!

Mechanics

Players must draw a circle on the ground that represents the moon, and players must stay inside the circle. The taya or the “Bukanawa’, mythical giant sea serpent who’ll eat the moon and is not allowed to enter the circle. Once the Bukanawa tags a player, they must help the Bukanawa tag the other players. After tagging all the players the first one who got tagged will be the Bukanawa.
