Pityaw, also known as Syatong/Syato in Tagalog and Ilocano or Pitiw Chato/Chatong in Bisaya. a stricking game, which can be played individually or by groups. Where player A hits the stick while player B needs to catch it, while throwing the stick there should be a small hole where the stick must be placed.
Players should consists a hitter and the catcher. Players should create a small hole on the ground and should have two sticks: one short and long. The hitter will place the short stick on the hole and the other part should at least be protruding out, the the hitter should hit the end of the short stick with the use of the long stick. If the short stick is still in the air, the hitter can try again to hit the short stick. In measuring the distance of the short stick, the players can use the long stick to measure.
Choose the “taya” or the finder
Players should hide while the taya counts up to 20 on the chosen base
Everyone should run to the base once everyone is found, the last one to get there becomes the Taya for the next game!
Taya should look for everyone and shout their name once found
