Palosebo is a game where it is always played during fiestas. As players race to climb up a greased bamboo pole to reach the small bag or flag on top of the bamboo pole.
Mechanics
Each player has their own bamboo pole to climb, they must compete with each other to reach the top of the slippery bamboo. The first one to reach the top wins the game. Sometimes players take turns climbing up once bamboo pole.
How to Play Palosebo!
Set up the pole. Greese the whole bamboo pole from top to bottom then stake it firmly to the ground. Either have a person on the bottom to support it for more sturdiness.
Step 1
Take turns, or when many, climb up all at once up the greased pole to get the prize bag or flag at the top.
Step 2
Players should hide while the taya counts up to 20 on the chosen base
