A game that doesn’t require rigid body movement. A song is being chanted by the players while dipping their finger on the other player’s palm, once the chant is done the other player must try to catch the other player’s finger.
Mechanics
Could be played by more than two players, on which one player will be the taya. The taya will open their palm for the other player to dip their finger on the taya’s palm. The players will chant “Sawsaw suka ka, mahuli taya!”, once the chant is finished, the taya must catch the other player’s finger by closing their palm while the other player must quickly remove their finger to avoid being caught. Once the taya has caught the other player’s finger they will now switch roles.
How to Play Sawsaw Suka!
One player becomes the taya and opens their palm, while the other player dips their finger in the taya’s palm.
Step 1
Both players chant “Saw saw suka ka, mahuli taya!” After the chant, the taya tries to catch the finger by closing their palm, while the other player quickly pulls their finger away.
Step 2
If the taya catches the finger, they switch roles and the game starts again. If the taya doesn’t catches the finger, the game can keep going until the taya catches the other player’s finger.
