Luksong Baka or “Jump over the cow” in english, is a game that is originated from Bulacan. This game requires at least 3 or more players, as they will be jumping over the “Baka” without hitting or falling over them.
In this game, there will be the taya or bakang lala where the players will jump over. They should avoid having contact or falling over with the baka. The game has different levels with which each getting more difficult to jump over as the baka bend higher. All players must jump over the baka for the level to go up. Hands of the jumper are allowed to touch the baka, but once the player made contact or fell over from jumoing over the taya, they will now be the ones who will be the baka.
One player becomes the baka (or taya) and bends down while the other players take turns jumping over them.
If all players jump over the baka without falling, the level goes up, and the baka bends lower to make the jump harder.
If a player falls or makes too much contact with the baka, they become the new baka, and the game starts again. The game continues until everyone has had a turn!
