Similar to Western hopscotch, this game can be played solo or with a group. Players take turns hopping across boxes they’ve drawn, testing their balance and skill!

Mechanics

Start by drawing the diagram with small boxes for 1, 2, and 3, a rectangle split for 4 and 5, a small box for 6, another rectangle split for 7 and 8, a small box for 9, and a big rectangle for 10.

To play, throw a marker (like a stone) into box 1 and jump through the boxes without stepping on the one with the marker. Use one leg to jump, landing on 2 and 3, placing your right foot on 5 and left on 4, jumping on 6, right on 8 and left on 7, jumping on 9, and landing on 10.

When you reach 10, turn around, jump back, pick up the marker, and return to the start. Keep throwing the marker into the next box until you reach box 10. If you stumble, miss, or can’t pick up the marker, you skip your turn. The first to finish all the boxes wins!
